NATIONAL TECHNICAL REGULATION ON GASOLINES, DIESEL FUEL OILS AND BIOFUELS
Foreword
Amendment 01:2026 QCVN 01:2022/BKHCN provides amendments and supplements to QCVN 01:2022/BKHCN.
Amendment 01:2026 QCVN 01:2022/BKHCN is developed by Vietnam National Standards and Quality Institute, appraised and submitted by the Commission for the Standards, Metrology and Quality of Vietnam for approval and promulgated together with the Circular No. 19/2026/TT-BKHCN dated April 30, 2026 by the Minister of Science and Technology.
NATIONAL TECHNICAL REGULATION ON GASOLINES, DIESEL FUEL OILS AND BIOFUELS
Amendment 01:2026 QCVN 01:2022/BKHCN amends the following contents of QCVN 01:2022/BKHCN.
1. Points 1.3.2, 1.3.3, 1.3.6.1 and 1.3.6.2 are amended as follows:
1.3.2. E5 gasoline
A mixture of unleaded gasolines and fuel ethanol with ethanol content of from 4.0 % to less than 7.5 % by volume, designated E5.
1.3.3. E10 gasoline
A mixture of unleaded gasolines and fuel ethanol with an ethanol content of from 8.0 % to 10.0 % by volume, designated E10.
1.3.6.1. Undenatured fuel ethanol
Ethanol produced from biological materials and containing impurities common to its production (including water) used as fuel.
1.3.6.2. Denatured fuel ethanol
Ethanol produced from biological materials, used as fuel and blended with denaturants such as gasoline or naphtha with the volume ranging from 1.96 % to 5.0 %.
2. Ethanol content specified in Table 2 - Specifications for E5 gasolines is amended as follows:

6. Point 2.4.3 is amended as follows:
Apart from fuel ethanol (either denatured or undenatured), only oxygenate compounds specified in Table 9 are permitted in unleaded gasolines, E5 gasolines and E10 gasolines.
